Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The tool requires only six pieces of information: your gender, birthdate, current health, tobacco use, desired coverage amount and preferred term length. That is all that's needed to generate quotes. Your name and detailed health information are requested only if you decide to proceed with an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
These are the carrier quotes for the health classification you entered. After you apply, the carrier's underwriting process may result in the same class, a better one, or a different one, and the final premium reflects their determination. This website displays quotes only and makes no promise about the final cost.
What happens when I click Apply?
You provide your name and the application starts with the exact quote you selected, then moves to the carrier's secure platform. You can pause and return to finish later. Your signature happens electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129), manages the process.
Will I need a medical exam?
That depends on the carrier, the coverage amount and your health information. Some carriers can approve eligible applicants immediately without an exam. Every quote on this site indicates whether the carrier will definitely require an exam, might require one, or never requires one.
Is a longer term better?
Choose a term that covers the years of maximum financial need: while paying off a mortgage, while raising children, or while managing business obligations. Longer terms have higher monthly cost but guarantee your rate stays fixed for more years. This tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 year terms.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool does not ask for your email or phone number, we do not buy or sell visitor data, and our analytics system is cookieless. Visit the privacy page for a complete list of the information we collect and which third parties may receive it.
